Molly Thurston, MSc., P.Ag 

Molly is a tree fruit horticulturist and farms at Claremont Ranch Organics, a certified organic orchard in Lake Country, BC – growing apples, pears and peaches. Her educational background includes a BSc. in Agriculture Science from the University of Guelph and a Master’s of Science (Biology) with a focus on soil microbiology from the University of British Columbia, Okanagan. 

Molly is a Professional Agrologist and member of the Okanagan Branch of the BC Institute of Agrologists. Agronomy is the perfect intersection of Molly’s passions for science, farming and teaching. 

Molly is a member of the International Tree Fruit Association, BC Cherry Association – Research and Extension Committee and the Organic representative on the New Tree Fruit Varieties Development Council. Molly has had long-term collaborations with numerous industry-leading companies and producer support services, including the Certified Organic Associations of British Columbia and the Okanagan-Kootenay Sterile Insect Release Program.
